"I had a massage with Kevin and he rocked! I had just about given up hope in finding an excellent therapist when I had a session with Kevin. He was uber excellent and left me feeling rejuvenated. The proof in his skills was that I slept really well that night for the first time in weeks. He restored my faith in body massages. Thanks Kevin! I will be returning." -- Althea
"He was masterful in providing a comfortable and professional environment for me. He was easy to talk to and provided helpful information about my recent back injury. The massage was excellent: a nice combination of relaxing and firm touch. I highly recommend Kevin for your next massage and look forward to my next massage with him!" -- David
"Awesome experience! Kevin arrived to the appointment on the time we had agreed and was one of the top massages I have had! His style of massage is very therapeutic and his pressure was perfect. I have back and shoulder pain and tightness and Kevin was able to apply the exact amount of pressure needed to relieve both the stress and discomfort that I had. I would highly recommend Kevin – he is extremely professional and knowledgeable and set the right atmosphere for a perfect experience.
I appreciated Kevin’s thoughtfulness and he made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire experience." -- Eddie
"Kevin is perfect: pleasant, professional and skilled. He asked what I wanted and provided just that. I cannot say anything could have been done better, except I would love to stay longer! I am very impressed and I have visited many spas. I do not typically give rave reviews because I believe honest feedback is crucial. This was a truly wonderful experience. Kevin is a special talent." -- Annette
"He is absolutely wonderful! He used perfect pressure. I will be seeing Kevin again! Very relaxing!" -- Carrie
Kevin Anderson is licensed as a massage therapist in Washington, DC. I completed my therapeutic massage studies in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I gained practical knowledge and experience with Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Aromatherapy, Chair, Hot Stone and Neuromuscular massage. I've worked in a massage spa and a wellness center but currently work independently, traveling to see clients in-home, hotel or at events.
My certifications focus on sports massage, including pre- and post-sports event, PNF stretching & myofascial therapy.
I enjoy staying active so that I can best serve the needs of my clients. I can best take care of my clients if I take care of myself first. Maintaining optimal physical fitness is key to performing my job to the best of my ability. I wouldn't hire a personal trainer who is out of shape, so I don't expect you to hire a massage therapist who isn't fully committed to health and wellness.
My journey to a career in massage therapy began because I decided to dedicate my career to helping others pursue better health and wellness.
Before working with clients, I will conduct a thorough assessment in order to gain an understanding of their health, lifestyle and desired outcome of massage therapy. Together, we can determine how to incorporate massage into an overall wellness plan.
Massage can be effective in treating stress, anxiety, joint pain and headaches. Massage can also help athletes prepare for or recover from events, reduce scar tissue, improve flexibility and improve circulation.
Providing superior customer service has been the foundation of my career. Prior to becoming a licensed massage therapist, I worked for a hotel company organizing client events and developing marketing strategies for customers. I also spent several years working as a volunteer organizer and board liaison for a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC.
